Continuing the legacy of the "Soul Pursuit" poetry and music series, this year's Soul Pursuit V embraces the theme of "Revering Heaven." It seeks a return to simplicity and authenticity, reconnecting with ancient souls and the spiritual essence of the unity between Heaven and Humanity.
We place a special spotlight on ancient female poets, acknowledging that female poets and literati were often overlooked in earlier eras.

延續詩與音樂「追魂」五個系列，今年《追魂V》順著「敬天」意涵，歸真反璞，回到古老的靈魂與天人合一的精神內涵。
特別介紹古代女詩人，是有感於女詩人與女文人在早期年代較被忽視。

The music features Eighteen Songs of a Nomad Flute (Hujia Shiba Pai), a classic composition by Cai Wenji, a renowned and erudite female poet of the Eastern Han Dynasty known for her mastery of poetry. The performance includes both a rendition faithful to the traditional melody and a re-arranged modern interpretation, demonstrating the concept that "Music is an expression of abstract resonance; each sound triggers another, much like meeting frequencies, allowing sound to return to an imagery of infinite, expansive possibilities."
For modern female poets, we have invited Chiang Wen-yu and Lo Jen-ling to recite and interpret their delicate works. They offer a perspective of "women in modern feminism," embodying a spirit that is gentle yet resilient (gentleness with inner strength).
Featured Instruments: The performance features a diverse array of instruments, including the ancient Chinese Xun, Pipa, Xiao, Bawu, and Chinese percussion; Indian Tabla; African ceremonial drums (Ethiopian); Western Jazz drums, Double Bass, Piano, and Flute; as well as the Indigenous Nose Flute and Bamboo Drum.

音樂引用東漢博學能才，善長詩賦著名女詩人蔡文姬的古代名曲《胡笳十八拍》，除了遵循古調旋律，同時也有重新編曲現代版本，展現「音樂是抽象聲韻的一種表述，每個聲響激發出另一種聲響，有如某種頻率相遇，聲音就會回歸到無限寬廣延伸的可能性的意象」。
現代女詩人則是邀請江文瑜、羅任玲以「現代女性主義的女性」的視野，柔中帶剛，來吟詠詮釋她們細膩的詩作。
演奏的樂器為中國古老的塤、琵琶、蕭、把烏、中國打擊樂器、印度打擊 Tabla 鼓、擊鼓（衣索比亞儀式用的非洲鼓）、西方爵士鼓、低音大提琴、鋼琴、長笛、原住民鼻笛、竹鼓。

Core Concept: Revering HeavenCentered on the theme of "Revering Heaven," the design uses Golden Ochre (symbolizing the earth and ancient texts) as the primary tone, paired with a title in Vermilion Wild Cursive script. This visualizes abstract sound into spiritual vibration, creating a dialogue between humanity and the universe.
Visual Metaphor: Resilience & Time Plum branch silhouettes in the background symbolize the resilience of female poets. The central white arc (the Moon) provides crucial negative space for readability while connecting ancient and modern times through a shared celestial gaze.
Visual Rhythm: FusionTo unify the diverse array of cross-cultural instruments, the layout blends traditional vertical writing with a modern grid system, mimicking the rhythm of jumping musical notes. The use of circular portraits signifies the harmonious resonance of different frequencies meeting in one space.

2018 Festival de Cannes
The 2018 Cannes Film Festival was a year defined by controversy and extreme aesthetics.
This project aims to recreate that pulsating artistic energy within the public space of the Eslite Art House. Drawing bold inspiration from the aesthetic vocabulary of Gaspar Noé’s buzzworthy masterpiece Climax, the design utilizes a high-contrast red and black palette to transform the corridor into a visual rave.
The design concept materializes the film’s psychedelic elements. Beyond the use of high-tension red 3D typography and character collages, the iconic DJ booth and dancer scenes are "transplanted" directly into the venue, blurring the boundaries between 2D graphics and physical space. The feature wall showcases the year's masterworks—from the stark monochrome of Cold War to the chilling monologue of The House That Jack Built—ensuring each film finds its precise place within this design narrative.

2018 年的坎城影展，是充滿爭議與極致美學的一年。
本案旨在於誠品電影院的公共場域中，重現坎城影展躁動的藝術能量。主視覺大膽擷取當屆話題鉅作——Gaspar Noé 執導的《高潮》（Climax）之美學語彙，以強烈的「紅、黑」高對比色調，將展廳廊道轉化為一場視覺的狂歡派對。
設計概念將電影中的迷幻元素具象化：除了運用高張力3D紅色立體字與人物作為拼貼，更將片中標誌性的 DJ 台與舞者場景「移植」至現場，打破平面與空間的界線。牆面上羅列著當年度的大師之作——從《冷戰》的冷冽黑白到《傑克蓋的房子》的戰慄獨白，每一部電影皆在設計語彙中找到了精準的定位。
